The Enrollment Process Once an applicant submits an application, the EOC admission team reviews the application to determine academic and economic eligibility. Once the applicant is determined to be eligible for EOC admission, he or she is given an appointment to take the TABE (Test for Adult Basic Education) Placement Test to establish reading and math skill levels for program admission and class placement. |

| TABE TESTING - EOC ADMISSION TESTING |
For more than 35 years, the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) has been a well-respected assessment
tool for use in adult education. The Educational Opportunity Center uses the on-line TABE test to
help students understand their strengths and weaknesses of skills that are used each day. The test score
will also predict how adult students may perform on the GED. The results of the test will be available to
the applicant/student the same day, shortly after the test is ended.Note: The TABE test scores may be transferable to other institutions that use the TABE test as an
admissions criteria. Check with an Admission Advisor for more information. |
| ADVISEMENT/INTERVIEW/SCHEDULING |
After the student has completed the admissions and testing process he/she will meet with an Academic
Counselor to review the test results and determine the appropriate courses/programs he/she is qualified
to take and schedule a program interview if needed. |
