The Central Sterilization Technician program is designed to prepare incumbent and non-incumbent workers for entry-level positions as a Central Supply Technician. This 8-week program is offered in partnership with Kaleida Health at Buffalo General Hospital.
Students will learn how to handle, assemble, function test and package surgical instruments. Students will also develop an understanding of how microbiology, infection control and aseptic technique relates to the job of a sterilization technician. After the training and coursework students will take the national certification exam.
